Target Tuesdays: Calypso St. Barth

Target Tuesdays is here, alive and well! Ok, this is officially the last time that I will put Target Tuesdays on hiatus (well I can’t promise, promise) but there were so many things going on but I am back, especially since my friend Tomicka said that she wasn’t shopping at Target because I stopped posting pictures! Uhoh!

So as many of you may know (or not, due to my new followers, yayyy!), I started Target Tuesdays to show women how to combine budget friendly items with trendy pieces to remain stylish for summer events, everyday wear, and everything else in between.

The delicate ruffles on the dress instantly caught my eye on the hanger against the sea of other dresses on the rack. Tell me this embroidered off the shoulder dress isn’t the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?! I love the flattering cut of the neckline that allows you to flaunt your shoulders with very minimal accessories other than the over-sized straw bag with sequin details. The turn-key closure is great for securing your possessions without loosing your valuables too.

Before I forget, let me give you a little background about the dress. This summery attire is from Target’s collaboration with Calypso St. Barth which debuted a few months ago in April to provide an affordable, limited edition version of the upscale lifestyle brand for people like you and me to afford! Honestly, I love the peasant tops and floor sweeping dresses that Calypso St. Barth offers, but many of their items aren’t for the budget-friendly, savvy conscious fashionistas like you or myself, ouch! Especially since Target‘s version of the collection ranges from $1.99-$79.99 to include vibrant and exotic colours for your closet and home decor. Let’s face it, if I spent all of my money on clothes I could never take any vacations or afford a place to live!
If you haven’t checked out Calypso St. Barth for Target do it now! It will be available until August 15th. I included the links to the items that you can purchase right online. You may notice that the online pictures on Target’s site aren’t persuasive enough to run out and buy this dress, but if you look beyond the frumpiness of the dress you can make it your own. With a few personal touches, it can really come together nicely to compliment your figure. Try using a structured belt in place of the elastic stitching around the tummy to create a cohesive look.
